District Mission

The mission of Anderson School District Four, a historical and diverse community strong in leadership and resources, is to develop all students into lifelong learners and responsible citizens by providing educational opportunities involving home and community in a safe supportive environment.

District Vision

Anderson School District Four envisions a safe, challenging educational environment where students develop skills needed to effectively solve problems, think critically and creatively, and act responsibly in an ever-changing world. Students will become productive lifelong learners who are sensitive to individual and cultural differences. Maximizing resources, facilities, will be properly equipped with appropriate technology and staffed by well trained professionals. The process of education will be a valued and shared responsibility of home, school, business, and community.

Anderson County School District Four is located in the northwestern area of Anderson County in the Piedmont Section of South Carolina. At the heart of the school district is Pendleton, a small historic town which, in 1970, was placed on the National Register of Historic Places. The uniqueness of Pendleton and its more than forty points of historic interest make it one of the most visited places in America.
