Cody is a rural community of approximately 9,500 people located just 50 miles from the east entrance to Yellowstone National Park. Tourism brings visitors from all over the United States and foreign countries to experience the western way of life, particularly during the summer months. While to some, Cody may seem isolated, there is an abundance of activities, particularly for outdoor lovers. From river rafting, fly-fishing, rock climbing, and mountain biking to ice climbing, world-renowned hunting, possible encounters with grizzly bear, moose, elk, big horn sheep and even wolves, there truly is something for everyone.
