The Sun Prairie Area School District serves over 7,000 students in four-year-old kindergarten through twelfth grade. Our district includes 13 schools -- seven elementary schools, two middle schools, one upper middle school, one high school, and an alternative learning school. Please visit the school websites to learn more about each of them.
We are very proud to be part of a community that supports public education. Our Business and Education Partnership Program has been in existence for over 20 years and is going strong! We have hundreds of community volunteers who contribute to the success of our students, our schools, and our community every day.
Sun Prairie is a growing community and school district. We opened our seventh elementary school, Creekside, in the fall of 2008. We opened a new high school for students in grades 10-12 in the fall of 2010. The new Sun Prairie High School houses a Performing Arts Center, a Field House, and an eight-lane swimming pool. In fall of 2010, we also opened Cardinal Heights Upper Middle School. We repurposed what had been our high school into the new upper middle school for students in grades 8 and 9.
Sun Prairie Area School District is a publicly funded organization
