Milwaukee Public Schools is seeking qualified applicants for the following position(s):

Coordinator II - Arts Program Support

Location: Central Services Building

Regular/Temporary: Regular

Job Summary:
Communicates with internal staff and external comunity membersto coordinate Arts Programs and services.

Salary Range: $52,461 - 76,094 (200 days)

Qualifications:
- A bachelor's degree in Arts Education and the appropriate Arts license from the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction
- At least four years of classroom teaching is required, public school environment is preferred
- Demonstrated school leadership or instructional coaching experience is required
- Curriculum development experience (you will be asked to provide work samples)
- A background in Arts integration is desired.

Responsibilities:
- Coordinates and communicates work between grant partners
- Coordinates, tracks, monitors and reports on implementation of arts integration
- Consults with school leaders to discern best practices and advises on specific tasks related to grant implementation
- Coaches and advises arts educators on best practices
Schedules site visits
- Develops tools to support instruction in and through the arts, coordinates and structures peer observations and facilitates teacher collaboration
- Coaches arts specialists in program development, arts integration strategies and curricular leadership
- Coordinates and contracts with providers to present and deliver professional development and delivers original professional development workshops on relevant topics
- Arranges for collection of all baseline information, disseminates surveys and administers evaluation tools in conjunction with evaluator
- Supports budget development
- Supports messaging to media and the educational community about the program's mission, successes and strategic approach
- Provides monthly reports of grant program expenditures to Fine Arts Manager
- Assists in the development of grant applications to other funding sources for sustainability
- Actively supports the MPS Strategic Plan
- Completes other duties as assigned
