Green Bay Area Public Schools is seeking qualified applicants for the following position(s):

Literacy Interventionist

Location: Washington Middle School

The Green Bay Area Public School District is currently seeking Reading certified applicants with an interest in a literacy intervention position at Washington Middle School. If you want to work with a collaborative team to provide multi-level systems of support for students to experience success in the universal setting, you are encouraged to apply today. Candidates making application to the position who are new to the District or to a literacy interventionist position will be required to complete questions relevant to the position.

Qualifications Required:
Education: Bachelor’s Degree and Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction Elementary Level Certification, and Reading or Reading Specialist License

Experience: Minimum of 3 Years of Successful Teaching Experience

Qualifications Desired: Previous experience administering and monitoring literacy interventions.

Position Purpose: To provide a multilevel system of literacy interventions for students. Successful candidates must demonstrate effective communication skills, data interpretations and management, and flexibility in working with other professionals.

5. Refers confidential information to the appropriate person.
6. Follows safe practices and adheres to safety standards.
7. Provides district adopted literacy interventions as recommended by the intervention design.
8. Participates in district provided literacy intervention professional learning.
9. Uses various forms of assessment to select interventions and to inform instructional decisions.
10. Collaborates with the building principal, classroom teacher, literacy coach, literacy interventionist, and various problem solving team members for the purpose of meeting individual student's academic needs.
11. Utilizes technology skills for record keeping and data entry.
12. Performs all other duties as assigned by supervisor.
