The Eastmont School District has enjoyed a reputation of quality schools for many years. Working in conjunction with parents and the business community, the district staff has truly made Eastmont "A Great Place to Learn." Our mission statement decrees that the district will "provide learning experiences which will assist all students to maximize their potential by developing skills, competencies, and attitudes that are fundamental to an individual's achievement as a responsible, contributing citizen."
East Wenatchee is located in the Wenatchee Valley on the shore of the Columbia River. The climate and location provide an abundance of recreational activities. Many people seek the region to live for this reason and the quality of life available. The population of the region is about 75,000 people and has been growing steadily in recent years.
The Eastmont School District currently enrolls over 5,000 students in grades K-12. The students are housed in nine buildings: five elementary schools (K-5), a middle school (6-7), a junior high (8-9), one high school (10-12), and a skill center. The district employs 322 certificated and 251 classified personnel. The annual budget is approximately $35 million dollars, supported by a four-year levy passed in 1998.
The district offers a wide variety of programs for the students it serves. In addition to the basic instructional programs, the district supports programs for students with special needs and abilities as well as co-curricular programs.
