Granite School District is seeking qualified applicants for the following position(s):

English Teacher (.5 FTE) - One year only

Location: Granite Connection High School

Salary Range: Teacher Salary Schedule

Contract: 9 Month Contract

Description:
GRANITE CONNECTION HIGH SCHOOL ENGLISH TEACHER (.50 FTE) OUTSIDE APPLICANTS ONLY - ONE YEAR ONLY - POSITION BEGINS 1/17/18

Applicant must either have a current Utah Secondary teaching license, a current out-of-state license, or have already been approved for the Alternate Route to Licensure (ARL) program through the Utah State Board of Education.

In and out-of-state applicants must upload a copy of their current state license with their application in order to be considered. ARL applicants must upload a copy of their ARL eligibility letter in order to be considered.

English endorsement required.
Position begins on 1/17/18, and this is a one-year only position. Applicant will need to reapply for any open ELA positions at the end of the 2017-2018 school year in order to continue teaching English in Granite School District.
ESL endorsement preferred.
Knowledge of Utah Language Arts Core Curriculum.
Ability to use and implement approved curriculum maps.
Ability to evaluate student academic progress through various formal and informal assessments.
Ability to communicate student academic progress to parents through various formats.
Willing to use technology to enhance student engagement.
Willing to be an active participant in Professional Learning Communities
Must be able to build a positive working relationship with students, school staff, administration, business partners, parents and the community.
Preference given to applicants willing to help with extracurricular activities.
Applicants must provide a current resume in order to be considered.
