Details: Arlington Independant School District invites applications for the following position Director - Fine Arts Organization: Fine Arts Qualifications: Education/Certification: Master’s Degree in a Fine Arts Area Preferred Valid Texas Certification in Fine Arts Experience: At least five (5) years of successful experience as a public school fine arts teacher Central and/or campus administrative experience preferred Demonstrated leadership/success at the district, region, and state levels Demonstrate behavior that is professional, ethical, and responsible, and serve as a role-model for all district employees and staff Responsibilities: INSTRUCTIONAL MANAGEMENT Help provide oversight of and direction to the district’s Fine Art programs Monitor and facilitate student access and instruction of elementary enrichment Monitor and facilitate student access and instruction of secondary performing arts (band, choir, dance, orchestra, theatre) SCHOOL/ORGANIZATION CLIMATE Help analyze current program and practices, keeping district staff informed and making responsible recommendations to academic administration Provide leadership for the design, support, and implementation of quality professional development programs in the Fine Arts Misc Information: In order to minimize current campus disruption, current Teachers and Teacher Assistants may only apply to job postings if the position is a promotion.
