All coaches must have a minimum of 3 years of certified effective teaching. Additional information is found in the attached job description.

Job Summary - TPaCK Trainer/Coach:
The TPaCK Trainer/Coach will facilitate purposeful integration of technology tools into curriculum and classroom instruction. This role will support and coach classroom teachers to develop technological, pedagogical, and content knowledge (TPaCK) competencies. TPaCK trainers will participate in the PLC process to assist in the development of unit and lesson plans that optimize student learning in blended and 1:1 technology environments.

The ideal candidate will have expertise in both constructivist and connectivist learning theories, with a clear vision of transforming classroom practice to enable differentiation which addresses all student learning styles and preferences. The TPaCK Trainer/Coach will assist in the development of protocols to promote technology integration for the customized learning and success planning (CLASP) process. This position will report to the school principal and work in collaboration with the Director of Educational Technology and Library Services.

Education and Experience:
• A minimum of three (3) years of experience as an instructor in an educational setting
• Bachelor’s degree – Required
• Master’s Degree in Education, Teaching, Curriculum & Instruction, or Technology-Related – Preferred
• Professional teaching licensure preferred

Required Knowledge and Abilities:
• Ability and experience in conducting effective staff development sessions
• Ability to translate complex information into digestible instructions
• Demonstrated knowledge and expertise in teaching and learning theories integral to technology
• Demonstrated knowledge and expertise in technology best practices and communication protocols
• Strong time-management, interpersonal, and oral and written communication skills
• Strong background in ethics and copyright issues
• Proficiency in computer productivity applications (e.g., Microsoft Office suite)
• Must have valid Tennessee driver license and a serviceable automobile

Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with individual teachers and teacher teams on planning standards-based units, modeling, and team-teaching.
• Collaborate with instructional staff to develop curriculum materials and specific lesson plans that integrate technology.
• Develop and conduct formal and informal technology-related staff development activities.
• Coach teachers and model the integration of technology in all curriculum areas.
• Evaluates, recommends, demonstrates, and integrates emerging technologies; models use of technologies in classroom instruction
• Stay abreast of and develop expertise in best practices related to technology use in the school program based on research, pilot programs, and state/national standards.
• Work with teachers and technology staff in the selection of software applications and other resources that are developmentally appropriate and facilitate student skill mastery.
• Collaborate with library media specialists to provide leadership in the school's use of instructional technology resources to enhance learning.
• Collaborate with the principal and school leadership team to provide access to technology resources and services of the technology facilitator at point of need.
• Facilitate school participation in technology programs and activities.
• Assist teachers with modifications and technology integration to differentiate instruction for special needs students
• Assist administrative and instructional staff in interpreting student achievement data and designing approaches to improve instruction and student learning.
• Share research about how adolescent students develop effective learning strategies and facilitate teachers’ use of these instructional strategies, including differentiated instruction for diverse learners, and visual models for critical thinking and reasoning.
