Scholar Academies seeks to close the achievement gap and contribute to the national efforts to eradicate inequity in urban education. The organization is one of the few charter management organizations developed as a hybrid able to capitalize on opportunities that arise within failing, traditional school systems from the inside out; and to act as an entrepreneur by exploring opportunities to create new schools from the bottom up.
Scholar Academies is a non-profit, school management organization that exists to close the achievement gap and to contribute to national efforts to eradicate educational inequity. Scholar Academies manages a network of high-performing schools that provide traditionally underserved, urban students with a meaningful, high-quality education.
Scholar Academies currently operates two Young Scholars Schools in Philadelphia, two DC Scholars School in Washington D.C., and one NJ Scholars School in Trenton, New Jersey.
