Estacada is nestled in the foothills of the Cascade Range in Clackamas County approximately 40 minutes from downtown Portland. Estacada is located on State Highways 224 and 211 and is served by Tri-Met Transportation Service. Our seven member Board and 260 employees serve a district of 710 square miles, 6,500 registered voters, and a community of approximately 17,000. Estacada has a moderate climate with an average January temperature of 34 degrees. Rainfall averages 57.5 inches per year and snowfall averages 11.4 inches per year. The Clackamas River runs through the City of Estacada, offering boating, water skiing, fishing, and swimming. Mt. Hood offers snow skiing and other winter activities within a 30 minute drive. Close by Portland offers the cultural activities of any major city.
