Our school district has received an "Excellent" rating by the Ohio Department of Education for the second consecutive year. This is the highest rating a district can be given, and was awarded to only the highest performing districts in the entire state. This rating is the result of the State Report Card, which measures student performance on proficiency tests, student attendance rate, and graduation rate. We are extremely proud of our students and staff members who work hard every day to make Wadsworth City Schools and "Excellent" school district.
Wadsworth City Schools is also fortunate to be part of a community that values education and supports more than 4,700 studentsí scholastic, vocational, technological, athletic, and artistic endeavors. Our teachers, support staff, administrators, and parents take great pride in the success of our young people. We believe such encouragement, coupled with solid instruction, results in outstanding student achievement. Wadsworth City School graduates are well prepared for the challenges of the 21st century.
