South-Western City Schools is a growing district located in the southern gateway of Columbus, Ohio. The 127-square-mile district encompasses most of the southwestern quadrant of Franklin County, including a substantial portion of the City of Columbus and five other cities and villages. A small portion of Pickaway County is also included within the district boundaries.
South-Western, the sixth largest school district in Ohio, currently operates 36 instruction/support facilities
staffed by nearly 3000 certificated (teaching), classified (non-teaching), and administrative employees. It provides services to more than 20,500 students, K-12, including special and career-technical education students.
Several colleges and universities are located in Columbus, providing many opportunities for our staff to earn graduate credit and advanced degrees. Many of these institutions offer fee waivers for our teachers.
