Children's Academy Info

Children’s Academy is an integrated, multidisciplinary K-5th grade school for children with speech and language delays. Children’s Academy offers a rigorous, language-based curriculum based on New York State standards. Our small classroom size and low student-to-teacher ratio (6:2:1) provide a nurturing environment designed to help each student realize his or her fullest potential. An individualized instruction plan is developed for each child with strategies and goals designed to meet the child’s academic and social needs.

At Children’s Academy, a dedicated speech and language pathologist provides additional support in the classroom so that speech therapy is incorporated throughout the daily curriculum. Students may also receive speech therapy in a 1:1 setting, or in a small group setting, which are designed to elicit age-appropriate social language and interaction among peers.

Children's Academy is a private organization
