SALARY & BENEFITS: Salary Range $64,134.36 to $90,494.45 annually. 8.00 hours per day, 12 months per year. Employer-paid retirement, health and life insurance, sick leave and annual leave benefits.

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE: Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university preferred; or ten years related contracting/building trades experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Five (5) years minimal journey level training as an electrical and HVACR technician. Completion of Energy Management Systems (EMS) or Building Management Systems (BMS) training preferred. Bilingual preferred.

Must be able to pass the pre-employment drug screen, physical, and lift test.

This is a new position.

Position Summary:
Under general supervision, the Energy and Systems Manager, supervises assigned maintenance staff, develops, implements, supports and maintains the building and energy monitoring and management systems, HVAC Preventative Maintenance & assists with sustainability programs within the Operation Services Department. Programs include utility consumption review, building management monitoring, energy and water conservation management. Performs related work and special assignments as required.

Skills, and Abilities:
Understanding of building trades Energy, electrical, HVACR practices and procedures.
Ability to develop and apply operating, safety and work procedures.
Ability to read, interpret, and communicate written and/or oral instructions.
Ability to troubleshoot
Ability to distinguish color-coded wires.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction
Ability to plan and organize work.
Ability to work flexible hours or shifts.
Ability to work in confined areas.
Ability to withstand heights and perform work safely.
Ability to work cooperatively with employees, contractors/vendors, other agencies, and the public.
Ability to recognize and report hazards and apply safe work methods.

Qualifications:

Education and/or Experience:

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
Current driver's license and an original social security card.

Language Skills:
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of educational stakeholders and community.

Reasoning Ability:
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

Computer Skills:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must have knowledge of social media software, Project Management software; and productivity software.

Other Skills and Abilities:
Ability and familiarity in working with other school districts, city, state, and federal agencies.

Other Qualifications:
Knowledge of the organizational structure of Nevada school districts and applicable sections of the Nevada revised and federal statutes.
