Details: Lincoln Public Schools is seeking qualified applicants for the following position(s): Administrator, Elementary School Assistant Principal Location: Sheridan Elementary School Job Description: Sheridan Elementary School Assistant Principal (PreK-5) 1.0 FTE, 210 days The assistant principal will share in the total range of administrative responsibilities including curriculum and master schedule development, supervision, attendance, student assistance process, data gathering process, discipline and record keeping for an effective instructional program in a positive and supportive learning environment assuring the academic achievement of all students in grades K-5 at Sheridan School. Will include the appraisal of staff, student management, and coordination for Special Education and Response to Intervention programs. Strong knowledge of school improvement, instructional leadership, and professional learning community work in a collaborative school environment preferred. Passion for working collaboratively with others. Assist with the interviewing and selection of all Sheridan Elementary staff members. - Must qualify for, or hold, a Nebraska Administrative certificate. - Demonstrated successful administrative or leadership experience required with a commitment to working in a culturally diverse learning environment. - Position to begin July 16, 2018.
