The mission of Gering Public Schools is to empower all students with the knowledge, skills, and attitudes to meet the challenges of the changing world.

Gering Public Schools began in 1887 with one teacher and twelve students in a log cabin. Our district now serves 1,934 students and employs 138 teachers, ten administrators, and 89 support personnel.

Primary students attend Geil Elementary, Northfield Elementary, or Lincoln Elementary. Secondary students attend Gering Junior High for grades 7-9 and Gering High School from 10th grade until graduation.
