The district consists of 6 schools located in the southern portion of Pike County. The Dr. Harry Frye Educational Services Building (the district administration office) is located in Magnolia, MS. Magnolia, which is the county seat, was settled in 1810. The area is one of Mississippi's most picturesque regions. The city earned its name because of the neighborhood's abundance of beautiful Magnolia trees.

South Pike School District is committed to assisting each student to develop his/her fullest potential through academic, physical, emotional, and moral growth. It is our duty to guide, encourage, and stimulate students in acquiring knowledge and formulating patterns of living so that they can become productive citizens of the community, state, and nation.
