The Mission of the Fruitport Community School District is to ensure that all students are prepared with essential skills for life-long learning by providing a nurturing setting that develops visionary citizens able to meet the challenges of an ever-changing world.
Fruitport Community Schools is a public K-12 school district located in Muskegon County, Michigan. We educate approximately 3,500 students in three elementary schools, a middle school, and a high school.
Fruitport Schools employs approximately 450 educators and support staff.
The district also offers a range of Community Education classes.
Fruitport is located a few miles inland from Lake Michigan's beautiful sandy beaches. We are between Muskegon and Grand Haven. Grand Rapids is about thirty-five miles to the east.
Parents of elementary students may apply to send their children to a Fruitport elementary school outside their normal attendance area. FCS participates in a K-12 Schools of Choice program with all public schools in Muskegon County, Spring Lake and Grand Haven. Details are available in the Superintendents Office. All students have equal opportunity for enrollment in available space and educationally appropriate programs.
