Dedicated to academic excellence and supporting parents to raise moral children.
New Hope Academy is a very unique PreK3-12th grade that was founded in 1990 by concerned parents. Located on a wooded, 8 acres campus, New Hope is a God-centered, family values base, character education program serving 250 students in a suburb of Washington D.C.
New Hope is very culturally, ethnically and religiously diverse with over 25 countries, both Christian and non-Christian faiths represented. We emphasize building a community based on core values, trusting relationships, and celebration of our diversity. The school provides an excellent academic curriculum while supporting parents to raise moral children. Our Stanford Achievement Test scores place our school-wide average at nearly a 7. Classes are small, usually 21 students or less per class.
There are specialty teachers who teach, are, P.E., music, technology and foreign language, so classroom teachers can use this time for preparation. The administration supports clear discipline standards so teachers can concentrate on teaching. Mentoring programs for students and staff support personal growth and relationships of heart. New Hope is a wonderful environment in which to work.
