The grass is always greener in the Bluegrass State!
The National Center for Family Literacy, a private nonprofit organization, seeking self-motivated professionals with excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills to fill our fulltime position.
NCFL was established by current president Sharon Darling in 1989 with a grant from the William R. Kenan, Jr. Charitable Trust. For the past 17 years, NCFL has pioneered educational initiatives that open pathways for continuous life improvement for the nation’s most at-risk children and families. More than one million families have made positive educational and economic gains as a result of NCFL’s work, which includes training more than 150,000 teachers and thousands of volunteers.
Helping families succeed through literacy is at the heart of NCFL’s efforts. Many families struggling to succeed don’t just lack education—they lose hope. Through national, state and community initiatives, NCFL improves the education of disadvantaged parents and their children to help them realize that success is within their reach.
