Teach in Independent Schools
The Independent Schools Association of the Central States (ISACS) represents over 200 schools across 15 states in the central portion of the country. Independent schools provide an attractive teaching environment and culture with achievement-oriented students; our schools offer competitive salaries and benefits. While some independent schools at the elementary level require an education major and certification, most middle and secondary schools prefer a liberal arts major, and no certification is required.
