The primary schools serve students from kindergarten through fourth grade. The primary schools have several objectives. They provide each child with a foundation in the basic skills areas. They also offer opportunities for creative expression and provide developmental experiences in physical education and health.
Each middle school has a science laboratory, computer laboratory, and library. Foreign language is offered to interested students. A complete music program, including band, orchestra, chorus and vocal music, is offered in all middle schools. A select/elect program, consisting of short-term, high-interest courses, provides opportunities to satisfy the rapidly changing interest and natural curiosity of this age group. These courses enrich learning and pave the way for more informed decisions on electives at the high school level.
