The Glenns Ferry School District is a small, rural district in an economically disadvantaged community along the Snake River in Southwestern Idaho. The economy consists almost entirely of agriculture and agriculture related industries. Glenns Ferry School District is the single largest employer in the area. There are three schools in the district – a high school, middle school, and elementary school – serving approximately 450 students district-wide. The three schools are housed in a single, shared facility with separate wings dedicated to each school. Of the total student population, 65% are eligible for free or reduced lunch, 47% are Hispanic, 36% are identified LEP students, and 35 students are classified as migrant.
