The Twin Falls School District serves nearly 7,400 students. It is comprised of seven elementary schools, two junior high schools, one alternative junior high, one high school, and one alternative high school. All are accredited. In 2007, ground will be broken for a second Twin Falls high school with a projected completion date in 2009.
The district is ranked eighth in size among Idaho’s 114 school districts and operates on an annual budget of over $45 million. It is one of the largest employers in an eight-county region, with more than 450 certified and 400 classified staff. The district is governed by a five-member Board of Trustees, whose members are elected by the public and serve without pay.
