The mission of the school is to develop in each child the love of learning, the ability to engage in critical thinking, and mastery of the academic building
blocks necessary for a successful future.
Through a constructivist framework, a conservation focus and standards-based curriculum, the children, families and community of the Neighborhood Charter School shall serve children in grades kindergarten through fifth grade who reside in Grant Park, Ormewood Park and the surrounding neighborhoods. The Neighborhood Charter School’s inaugural year will be 2002-2003. The enrollment capacity is 360 students.
