Details: Clayton County Public Schools is seeking applicants for the following position(s): Construction Teacher Location: Mount Zion High Job Description: This course is designed as the foundational course in the following pathways to prepare students for pursuit of any career in construction * Carpentry * Plumbing * Electrical * Masonry * Machining * Welding * Sheet Metal * Heating * Ventilation * Air Conditioning & Refrigeration * HVACR Electrical The course prepares the trainee for the basic knowledge to function safely on or around a construction site and in the industry in general and will provide the trainee with the option for an Industry Certification in the Construction Core Additional Job Information: The instructor is expected to maintain a career technology student organization, SkillsUSA for this pathway to offer students leadership, soft skills and competitive opportunities throughout the school year. Minimum Qualifications: 1. Construction Certification; 2. At least 2 years of occupational field experience; 3. Associate's Degree or higher; and 4. Teaching Certification in Trade and Industry or proof of enrollment in an accredited Trade and Industry Certification Program. Salary Range: Paid based on salary scale
