Science Teacher - Manchester

The Job:

This vastly improving school in Rochdale are looking for a physics teacher to join a thriving science department to provide high-quality lessons to key stage 3 and key stage 4 students The school promotes a familial and community-based ethos where everyone involved is appreciated the same and all opinions are valued. The school has become one of the most improved academies in the country in recent years. The successful candidate will be someone who can fully emerge themselves into the culture of the school and contribute in all aspects, not just within the classroom.

 

The school is looking for someone to start on a permanent basis starting in November. Whether you are an experienced teacher or are newly-qualified, you will be working closely with an excellent head of department to further your skills and to ensure that you and your classes are achieving what is expected by the school and national curriculum. 

 

Responsibilities:

* Plan lessons to match the right level of difficulty to match the individual needs and academic levels of students 

* Communicate and build rapport with parents of students 

* Participate in departmental evenings, parent meetings, and whole school training events 

* Record, monitor, and assess student development and understanding of the national curriculum  

* Safeguard children

Successful candidates will:

* Be a fully qualified science teacher
